Our PASS Program (Prevention and Alternatives to Shelter Surrender) which helps to keep dogs and cats from entering shelters in the first place is seeking additional adult volunteers in each county in NM and funding to cover 1 full-time staff member to be able to expand program benefits to all counties in NM. Donations in any amount may be made on the right-hand side of this page. The more dogs and cats we are able to keep from entering animal intake facilities to begin with, the less stress on animals, facility staff and animal control and ultimately more lives saved.
The requests for help are outweighing our human resources right now so if you are a people person and have a few hours a week of time to give please complete the NMPA volunteer form online at http://surveymonkey.com/s/2bg6g9p. The PASS program requires volunteers who are compassionate toward both people and pets because this program typically assists people in need who have pets. Volunteers are needed to help in the field but also over the phone and email. Once we receive your volunteer form and it is processed, you will receive an email with additional information. If you already have a volunteer form on file with us and you would like to help the PASS program, please send an email to email@example.com and ask to be plugged in. THANK YOU!
